A walk in the park

A few photos taken in late June from an impromptu wander in the sunshine.

Notes: I discovered the work of painter Bruce Cohen last week, his work really captures a certain mood that I admire. Some of his work almost looks like a film photograph, which would explain why I was instantly drawn to his work when I first laid my eyes upon it. You can have a look through his portfolio here http://brucecohenstudio.com.

A summer afternoon at Dunham Massey part 1

I had the day off work yesterday due to a serious fire near my work, so I thought I’d make the most of the sunshine and head to Dunham Massey. I haven’t visited since I last went with my grandparents when I was younger, I used to visit halls and castles, walk/climb up mountains and walk through caves etc… in England, Scotland and Wales a lot when I was younger. Living in an industrial city for the last three years has started to make me want to escape and revisit these places again, as well as discover more of the UK. I forgot just how close it is to where I live, I loved getting away from the city for the afternoon and wandering around the vast grounds and beautiful gardens. I will definitely be returning on a more frequent basis. Unfortunately I ran out of film towards the end of the day, so I’ll post some photos I took with my iPhone at a later date. If you live in or near Manchester I would thoroughly recommend spending a day there to roam the grounds and take a look around the house and gardens.
